The NICC has outlined its progress and achievements from the past six months in its Delivery Report 2025, published online today.
The report highlights the work taken to fulfil the NICC’s priority projects, which are set out in the Strategic Plan 2024-25.
Chief Commissioner Philip Crawford said the NICC had put a substantial amount of work into remediating the state’s two casinos.
“Our long-term goal at the NICC is for both casinos to achieve suitability and establish a deep-rooted culture that is safe, responsible and resistant to criminal infiltration,” Mr Crawford said.
“We are seeing big improvements in the operating environments at both Crown and The Star but there is still a lot more work to do to ensure this continues.”
The release of the Delivery Report 2025 underscores the NICC’s commitment to transparency and accountability, and to communicating the groundwork that goes into the casino regulatory effort.
It addresses work conducted across the four focus areas outlines in the Strategic Plan 2024-25.
These include maintain independence and demonstrate accountability, embed standards, provide robust supervision and identify emerging risks.
