NSW Independent Casino Commission (NICC) Chief Commissioner Philip Crawford has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of the International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR).
The appointment was announced following the IAGR 2025 conference in Toronto, Canada last month where the NICC was honoured with a prestigious award for Regulatory Excellence.
“This is a very exciting time to be joining the Board of Trustees as IAGR continues to build its profile and make even more of an impact on global gaming regulation,” Mr Crawford said.
“I look forward to collaborating with other regulators from across the world to drive innovation, share ideas and exchange best practice techniques.”
“This appointment will also provide a direct line to the very best advisory and networking opportunities for the NICC, which will only strengthen our resolve to strive for the very finest casino operating standards in NSW.”
IAGR is the leading international body for gaming and gambling regulators, representing a considerable number of nations and jurisdictions from across the globe.
It provides a forum for regulators to exchange views, discuss legislation and policies, and share information.
Some of the current IAGR Trustees are located all over the world including Canada, the USA, Europe and West Africa.
Mr Crawford’s term commenced this month and will continue until the IAGR Annual General Meeting in 2028.
IAGR Vice President Brian Krolicki said he was very pleased to welcome Mr Crawford to the board.
“Philip Crawford brings a wealth of legal and regulatory experience to the IAGR Board, and his leadership in strengthening integrity and oversight within the casino sector adds valuable depth to our global network of regulators,” Mr Krolicki said.
